DREAM HOLIDAYS

Next week is my dream holidays.

Next week is my dream holidays.

No work

No worries

No problems —

Just paradise for seven days!

I’m leaving next Monday.

And then on Tuesday,

I’ll spend all day at the sea

Sunbathing and swimming

And all beach games winning

Oh how great fun it can be!

I’ll relax, until Friday

Then hire a car and maybe I’ll go for a ride.

And on Saturday,

I’ll go clubbing.

Just dance, dance, dance, all night!

On Sunday — I don’t know,

Maybe I’ll relax a little more.

And every day

Of my holiday,

I’ll have fun and never feel bore!

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF A HOBBY IN THE LIFE OF A TEENAGER

1)______________________________________

By finding an area of interest, a teen can build competence and skill. This can cause positive results and builds a teenager’s confidence. And this will lead to more competence and skill.

2)________________________________________

Our likes and dislikes help define who we are. One of the main jobs of the life stage of adolescence is scoping out our personal definition of who we are— more professionally known as developing our identity. Hobbies help define our personality by sending a signal, «I like doing this. This makes me feel good about me. Therefore, this is a part of who I am».

3)_________________________________________

Dullness is like disease to a teen — and it can have the same type of damaging effects. Bored teens look for things to do and are more apt to get involved with negative peers. Helping teens develop a hobby is helping them stay out of trouble.

4)____________________________________________

When a teen is involved in a hobby, teachers, parents as well as the other children

Have an easy access to something to praise him/her for. It can also increase

Positive interaction between a teen and other people.

A. A hobby helps a teen have a sense of his identity.

B. Hobbies keep a teen from getting bored.

C. Hobbies help build a teenager’s self-assurance.

D. Hobbies will give other people the reason to praise a teen.
